Yeovil Town have completed the signing of striker Owen Dean from Farnham Town on a permanent deal. The 22-year-old arrives for an undisclosed fee and has signed a contract that runs until the summer of 2028, adding firepower to a side sitting 4th in the National League with 22 points from 12 games.

Dean was unveiled to supporters on the pitch before Saturday's home match against Boston United, a game Yeovil went on to win 6-0. His move represents a step up the pyramid from part-time Farnham Town in the National League South to a full-time National League club. The transfer includes a considerable sell-on clause for Farnham, the club confirmed.

Dean's goalscoring pedigree

Dean brings a proven track record, having scored 20 goals last season to help Farnham achieve promotion to the National League South. He netted four times in nine matches this term, including a goal in his final appearance for the club in a 3-2 win over Weston-super-Mare. Over a distinguished four-and-a-half-year spell at Farnham, he made 214 appearances, won the club's golden boot award in each of his four full seasons, and contributed to three successive promotions.

Yeovil's recent form reads WDWWD, making them unbeaten in five, and they are firmly in the play-off picture, ten points behind leaders Boreham Wood. Dean is expected to be in contention for their next fixture, an away trip to 19th-placed Wealdstone on 10 October.
