Yeovil Town registered their first National League win of the season after a dominant 3-0 victory over Gateshead at Huish Park. The Glovers opened the scoring inside two minutes when Stephen Walker delivered an excellent effort that slipped past Gateshead goalkeeper Peter Jameson. Gateshead were left scrambling as Jameson made a second save from Ryan Jones, but the Glovers remained patient. Midway through the first half, Luke Supyk forced Glovers keeper Jos Barker into action, but the goal was not needed. In the second half, Luke McCormick produced a brace, scoring a first goal in the 81st minute and adding a second in the closing stages. McCormick’s late double gave the Glovers a realistic lead and sealed the win. Gateshead’s Peter Jameson saved twice from Ryan Jones and McCormick, but the Glovers’ clinical finishing proved decisive.
