Yeovil Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Johl Powell from Walton & Hersham on a two-year deal. The midfielder arrives at Huish Park following an outstanding spell with the Swans, where he scored 21 goals in 39 league appearances last season and hit double figures in both of his last two campaigns, including a standout 2025/26 season in which Walton & Hersham stormed to the Southern Premier South title. Powell began his career at Millwall before moving into the Charlton Athletic academy, where he made his senior debut in an EFL Trophy victory over Leyton Orient in November 2020. During his time with the Addicks, he also gained valuable experience on loan at Maidstone United. Following his departure from Charlton, Powell continued his career in non league football with spells at Dulwich Hamlet, Tonbridge Angels, and Dover Athletic, gaining further senior experience across the National League South. He linked up with Billy Rowley when he joined Walton & Hersham in 2024, and now reunites with his former manager at Huish Park as part of the Glovers' new-look squad. Now joining Yeovil, Powell adds creativity, energy and proven goal scoring ability from midfield to Billy Rowley's squad ahead of the new season. Everyone at Yeovil Town welcomes Johl to Huish Park and looks forward to seeing him in green and white.
